The University District is home to, you guessed it, the university. That's the University of Washington (UW) for those who may be wondering. Most locals simply call this area the U District. While this is indeed a college neighborhood, students do not make up the entire population. In fact, University District apartments house a very diverse group of people.

University District apartments are near many sources of celebration and appreciation of culture, art and horticulture. The U-District Street Fair and the U-District Farmer's Market are both quite small compared to the Pike Place market in Belltown, but they're both still ripe with action. The fair is a combination of booths with wares, street performers, live music and food stands. The Farmer's Market offers locally grown produce, cheese assortments and more.
