Queen Anne is a colorful mix of eclectic and 19th century homes. This neighborhood's name arose out of the affluent crowd that settled there in the 1800's and 1900's. They built statuesque, large mansions based on an architectural design called Free Classic or Queen Anne. Many of these mansions are still intact today and serve as historic monuments to the early settlers.
